Henk Hartzema

architect and urban planner

In my role as an architect and urban planner, I enjoy sharing my vision on these developments broadly and as personally as possible with others. That’s why I founded Studio Hartzema.

I have been involved as a consultant, designer, and/or supervisor in a large number of urban restructuring and transformation projects. This includes the Van Heekplein in Enschede, the Leiden Bio Science Park, the VU Campus in Amsterdam, and the Plaspoelpolder in Rijswijk.

In addition to being a designer, I am also a passionate researcher and educator. I have been affiliated with universities and colleges in the Netherlands and abroad for over 20 years. By imparting knowledge to new generations, I contribute to making the world a little more beautiful together.
